Cheryl Tritt is retired from the practice of law. Cheryl remains known in the communications industry and at WBK for her counsel to a wide range of communications companies, focusing on wireless, satellite, local competition, broadband, and Internet and VoIP technology. She advised clients on the regulatory implications of various transactional matters, including mergers, acquisitions, stock spin-offs, and new business ventures, and assisted international organizations, including some of the world’s largest telecommunications companies, in addressing the U.S. regulatory processes necessary for entry into new markets, including U.S. interagency reviews before the FCC, the U.S. Department of Justice, and others.

The Legal Times identified Ms. Tritt as one of the top ten Leading Communications Lawyers in the Washington region. She was listed in Euromoney Legal Media Group’s “The Best of the Best” and was recognized in 2007 and 2009 in Washingtonian magazine as one of Washington’s top communications lawyers. Before private practice, Ms. Tritt served as Chief of the Federal Communications Commission’s Common Carrier Bureau (now the Wireline Competition Bureau), testifying before Congress on the state of competition in the wireless marketplace and regulatory issues affecting wireless carriers.
