Ellen M. Edmundson, Senior Counsel

Ellen Mandell Edmundson has practiced communications law for nearly 40 years. She represents broadcast-licensee clients in regulatory matters before the Federal Communications Commission, including licensing, day-to-day operational compliance, and complex regulated transactions.  She is consistently rated in Martindale-Hubbell as "AV Preeminent," the highest possible peer review ranking for legal ability and ethical standards.

Prior to law school, Ellen worked in the publicity and advertising departments of major recording labels in New York City and elsewhere, and wrote freelance about music business topics for national and international publications, including columns in Rock Show and Music Life in Japan, and the nationally-distributed rock journals Circus, Rock, and Creem.

Ellen is admitted to the practice of law in the District of Columbia , the State of New York, and before various Federal Courts.  She is a member of the Federal Communications Bar Association. A native New Yorker, she received her B.A. degree, cum laude, from Queens College of the City University of New York, where she did the daily on-air morning show and served as Publicity Director of the campus radio station, WQMC. Her J.D. is from St. Johns University School of Law in Queens, New York.  She is married to Jim Edmundson, a retired communications lawyer and former radio station licensee.
