We have experience in an array of regulated proceedings at the both the state and federal levels, including certification proceedings, cost-of-service ratemaking matters, prudence reviews, mergers and acquisitions, resource planning and procurement, energy efficiency and renewable energy matters, transmission siting and planning, power purchase agreements, fuel-switching proceedings, grid modernization and home energy management programs, and agency investigations and rulemakings. We have advised public utilities and other electric industry participants regarding bulk sales of electric power at cost-based and market-based rates, transmission open access rules and policies, generator interconnections, and affiliate rules.

Our transactional attorneys assist clients in crafting, negotiating, reviewing and conducting due diligence on a wide array of energy agreements, including power purchase agreements, new development and construction of utility-owned generation and transmission assets, commodity purchase and sale agreements, state and federal tariff provisions and service agreements, power plant operating agreements, solar energy program agreements, deployment of advanced metering infrastructure and related leases, easements and other real property agreements. We also assist our clients in obtaining regulatory approval for such transactions and programs.
