Adam Copeland Joins Wilkinson Barker Knauer as Partner in DC Office

WASHINGTON — Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP (WBK) is pleased to announce that Adam Copeland is joining the firm as a Partner in the Washington, DC, office. Adam comes to WBK after serving as Deputy Bureau Chief of the Wireline Competition Bureau at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

During his tenure at the FCC, Adam managed numerous high-profile proceedings pertaining to broadband deployment, infrastructure, net neutrality, consumer privacy, universal service, preemption, and pole attachments. He most recently led efforts to revise the agency’s data breach regulations, enact new regulations protecting consumers against SIM swap and port-out scams, and implement the Safe Connections Act. Adam also lead a cross-Bureau and Office team that prepared the FCC’s Open Internet Order for April 2024.

Prior to joining the FCC, Adam worked in private practice, working with cable and broadcast clients on a variety of regulatory issues in front of the FCC and the U.S. Copyright Office.

Adam received his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School and a B.A. in Political Science from the George Washington University.
