Angela Floyd Joins Wilkinson Barker Knauer as Partner in DC Office
Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP (WBK) is pleased to announce that Angela Floyd is joining the firm as a Partner in the Washington, DC office. Angela comes to WBK after serving as Senior Principal Corporate Counsel in Mergers and Acquisitions at SBA Communications Corp. and then as Managing Attorney at her private practice venture, Law Office of Angela Floyd, LLC.
During her tenure at SBA Communications Corp., Angela managed intricate, multi-party transactions involving critical wireless infrastructure assets, including communication towers, data centers, DAS networks, edge infrastructure, and energy infrastructure. Her extensive expertise spans all aspects of international mergers and acquisitions within the telecommunications sector. After founding her own private practice, Angela continued to specialize in high-value transactions, further solidifying her reputation as a leader in the wireless communications infrastructure industry.
Prior to her role at SBA Communications Corp. and opening her own practice, Angela served at the United States Federal Trade Commission, where she was responsible for enforcing compliance with consumer protection laws and regulations, ensuring regulatory adherence across the economy.
WBK is excited to welcome Angela to the firm and to provide our clients with her extensive experience in wireless and energy infrastructure transactions, as well as her insights into FTC enforcement and compliance.
“Angela has been a leader in the infrastructure legal community for many years — both at SBA and in private practice — and is an exciting addition to our team,” said Managing Partner Bryan Tramont. “She has expertly crafted the types of deals that are so critical to our clients — for towers, data centers, and a host of other communications and energy infrastructure transactions. In addition, she spent six years at the FTC focused on consumer protection issues — another hot topic for our industries. Equally important for the Firm is Angela’s longstanding commitment and involvement in several bar associations and professional organizations, as well as a host of other legal and community organizations. For all of these reasons, she is a terrific addition to WBK, and we look forward to building her practice together in her new home.”
“I am thrilled to join the talented team at WBK and contribute to the continued growth of the firm’s transactional practice,” added Angela Floyd. “I look forward to working alongside WBK’s top-notch lawyers to deliver strategic, client-focused solutions in M&A, wireless communications, energy infrastructure, and consumer protection. Together, we will continue to provide expert guidance to help clients navigate the complexities of these dynamic industries.”
Angela received her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. from Case Western Reserve University.
